Farmers Markets

Farmers’ markets are critically important community food resources and valued neighborhood amenities that provide a weekly source of fresh produce, community engagement, and a connection to the food system. We promote models for how farmers markets can become thriving, accessible spaces that serve all community members. UEPI has worked with farmers’ markets for over 10 years to expand their reach to low-income customers and improve food assistance acceptance.

Farm to Classroom

The Farm to Classroom project offers a streamlined option for garden and nutrition educators to easily purchase from farmers’ markets for taste tests and cooking demonstrations using a new online ordering and delivery platform called “eat!

Urban Ag at the Market

The Urban Ag at the Market program trains urban farmers, backyard growers, and campus farms to grow for and sell at their neighborhood farmers’ markets, building valuable skills and expanding access to fresh produce in their communities.
